    Basic Function

    To provide support on projects designed to maximize company profits, including the implementation of sales and marketing strategies.  Ensures that the PDI brand is presented consistently, campaigns are delivered to deadline, and that the company remains visible in the market.

    Reports directly to Marketing & PR Manager and is a support to the internal and external customer. The Marketing Assistant is to work closely with the Promotions & Events Coordinator and PDI management team to support driving the daily needs of the business.

    Responsibilities

    Marketing Operations                                                                                                  70% of time

    Maintain

    • Monitors online review sites weekly.
    • Maintains log of all inquiries from the PDI website, forwards inquiry to appropriate person or team.
    • Tracks, updates, and maintains various marketing analysis reports, via spreadsheets, databases, etc.
    • Assists with event and meeting logistics, including event registration, travel arrangements, and procurement and shipping of materials, and coordinating outside vendors.
    • Assist with all sales promotions, events, and incentives for external customers.
    • Assist with the production of marketing materials and literature. Ensure appropriate levels of promotional materials are in stock.
    • Create content and monitor analytics for social media channels.
    • Conduct and collate findings from market research.
    • Liaising with and strengthening relationships with suppliers and clients.
    • Track budget and expenses for marketing activities.
    • Helps maintain excellent customer relationships through superior customer service skills
    • Facilitate PDI fleet graphics program.

     

     

    Corporate Travel                                                                                                             20% of time

    Maintain

    • Arrange travel and accommodations for employees and company guests.
    • Serve as a general resource and point of contact for travel-related issues; assist employees with travel-related issues or concerns.
    • Research, negotiate, and secure rates with airlines, car rental companies, and hotels.
    • Review and ensure all contracts for appearances include necessary specifications.
    • Act to ensure safe and efficient travel operations, in accordance with organizational policies and guidelines.
    • Receive and respond to incoming travel requests on behalf of the organization.
    • Maintain records of all corporate and customer travel.
    • Facilitate agency coordination, when utilizing an outside travel partner.

     

     

    Professional Development                                                                                           10% of time

    Promote

    • PDI and all of its brand verticals within in a positive manner.
    • All PDI family of Brands.
    • Suggestions for innovating and increasing efficiency in the marketing department.

    Participate in

    • 40 hours of training.
    • Staff & Company meetings.
    • Industry events, including but not limited to ASID, NKBA, NARI, AMA.
    • PDI sponsored company events, as required.

    Qualifications

    Candidate will possess an Associates, or higher, degree in Marketing, Business, Communication or other related field. 2 years’ experience in a similar role may be considered in lieu of degree. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be results oriented, and a self-starter. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to multi-task and adhere to strict deadlines. 

     

    Candidate must have strong computer knowledge and skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite. In addition they must have the ability to learn analytics platforms, relevant PDI business systems, and other outside vendor programs. Evening or weekend work may be required, as related to job function.

     

    The Candidate will be required to take a Personality Assessment and or Caliper Assessment.
