Overview

Provides supervision and direction to the NashvilleShowroom.  Manages the process of providing accurate information, assistance, and support to customers, outside sales force, and other departments. Represents PDI’s company goals, code of ethics and integrity. Continually trains team for improved daily performance and to provide a pool of talented professionals ready when opportunities present themselves. 

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the Showroom’s P & L
  2. Help meet or exceed individual and/or Showroom sales, sales growth, and profit margin goals set by the Director of Showrooms.
  3. Drives sales of specific products deemed important to PDI.
  4. Establish & maintain the highest standards of customer service expected at PDI.
  5. Oversee the changes and updating of displays.
  6. Make sure that the Showroom is properly staffed, that the staff has the proper equipment needed to perform their duties and that all operations are established according to company guidelines.
  7. Make sure all showroom personnel are trained and continue to receive training throughout their careers.
  8. Perform a physical inventory.
  9. Perform merit performance assessments on each of your direct reports.
  10. Set sales goals for the consultants and go over these goals periodically.
  11. Maintain sales records for the showrooms and the consultants.
  12. Help set up special events or assist other departments with special events.
  13. Help acquire new customers.
  14. Be a professional expert on showroom products, and be willing and able to assist PDI customers including helping showroom clients with product selections.
  15. Resolve problems and issues for customers and assist other showroom personnel in doing the same;
  16. Maintain all standard reports in the proper fashion and make sure all showroom personnel does the same (i.e. open order reports and bid reports)
  17. Make sure pertinent showroom information (i.e. customer & job information) is obtained and recorded.
  18. Make sure the showrooms and individual work areas are neat, clean & safe.
  19. Make sure literature is available for customers.
  20. Attend outside trade association meetings, product training, and any other product or sales enrichment programs deemed beneficial.
  21. Be available for physical inventory.
  22. Fully understand the daily recon process for each showroom.
  23. Assist other showrooms as needed.
  24. Be available to assist in managing outlier showrooms and staffs as needed.
  25. Develop and maintain relationships with other departments (Purchasing, Outside Sales, Branches, Credit, HR, Accounting, etc.)
  26. Perform other duties as assigned;
  27. You are expected to fulfill the above guidelines, cooperate with all PDI associates, exemplify PDI core values, and contribute to the TEAM SPIRT.

Qualifications

BS/BA or equivalent required.  4-6 years industry experience preferred.  Management experience is a plus.  Candidate must have good communication skills and sales driven.

 

8-10 hours sitting/standing required.
